THE ENERGY DEMOCRACY CONVERGANCE
Each year in January, our annual Energy Democracy Convergance provides attendees with the opportunity to join leaders from the environmental and climate justice movement to discuss policies and organizing strategies to advance our vision for a just energy and economic transition.

By lifting up important issues, opportunities, and discussions during the Energy Democracy Convergance at the time when the New Mexico State Legislature is in session each year, we ensure that our legislative efforts are informed by the efforts, experiences, and priorities of fellow organizers and community leaders who are engaged in this work on the ground.
2024 ENERGY DEMOCRACY CONVERGANCE
In 2024, our Climate Justice and Energy Democracy Convergance featured the voices of important leaders in for movement for climate and environmental justice and energy democracy, as well as advocates leading on important policy proposals in the 2024 Legislative Session.
Through our webinar panel event, we shared analysis and demands from the frontlines while engaging in important conversations about what was at stake during the legislative session as we moved one ear closer to the 2030 deadline set by science for the rapid reduction of emissions – even while our state continues to move in the opposite direction.

2023 ENERGY DEMOCRACY CONVERGANCE
In 2023, we brought together movement leaders, members, and supporters to lift up important issues, opportunities, and discussions as we prepared for the 2023 Legislative Session.
YUCCA and our partners work to advance climate, environmental justice, and clean up legislation, and we think it's important that our legislative efforts are informed by grassroots organizing and community leaders – so our 2023 convergance was both about concrete policy proposals during the 2023 session and larger movement and power-building vision and strategy.

2022 ENERGY DEMOCRACY CONVERGANCE
Our 2022 Energy Democracy Conference was focused on setting the standards for equity-based climate justice and raising up the voices of movement leadership during the 2022 Legislative Session.
Through panels and sessions such as Assessing our Movement Landscape, Assessing the Path Forward: The False Solutions, Frameworks, and Principles, and 2022 Legislative Agenda, we were joined by a group of amazing organizers and frontline community members who spoke to the moment we are in and what is needed for true solidarity and movement building.
