Zephyr Jaramillo is a young 2 Spirit poet and organizer coming from the Pueblos of Isleta (Tue’i) and San Felipe (Katishtya). They co-founded RezSPIT in 2017, an all Indigenous, all youth, all queer, collective of poets and went on to represent the Albuquerque Unidos Slam Team at the 2019 Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam. Zephyr graduated in 2020 from the Native American Community Academy. They initially joined Earth Care through the summer El Puente Leadership Academy and has served as a Campaign Organizer for YUCCA for 2 years. They are also part of Revolutionary 2 Spirit Collective. As a young indigenous person, Zephyr grew up with the teachings of reciprocity and what it looks like to be in right relation with the land and with kin. That is what they hope to strengthen while engaging in the fight.
