Join YUCCA's Youth-Led People's Climate Action Plan!

❗️WE NEED YOU❗️

It's been a hell of a summer!

The climate emergency is wreaking havoc across our state - but NM leadership has nothing to say about the root causes of the climate catastrophes we are experiencing and our state's role in it. The state of emergency was issued and the feds have answered the call - but the underlying issues remain the same. From the devastating fires down south to the flooding in Las Vegas that has left the City without safe water, to the flooding in Farmington and Grants to the 200 mile wall of dust covering I-25 -- New Mexican's lives, livelihoods, housing, transportation, and health are being impacted daily by the climate crisis.

Meanwhile, Chevron, Shell, American Petroleum Institute, Avangrid and other energy giants are convening this week for the $400/ticket "Energy Summit" with our state and congressional leadership.

We've got to get organized if we are going to stand a chance....

Calling all YUCCA allies, supporters, and community members. If you care about our planet and holding fossil fuel companies accountable, we need your participation! Join our network meetings on the third Thursday of every month this summer!

Visit www.bit.ly/yuccameeting at 6:30pm on Thursday to join.

NEXT NETWORK MEETING: THURSDAY, JULY 25TH

We’re gearing up to launch our statewide “People’s Climate Plan” - a grassroots organizing campaign that will result in the development of a people's climate plan to transition our state from the fossil fuel dependence that is killing us.

We need New Mexicans from every corner of our state to join us.

It’s going to take each of us to build the political power we need to drown out the fossil fuel lobby ($) and to build the networks of solidarity we need to survive a rapidly changing climate. From policy and electoral work - to direct action and civil disobedience - to art builds and performances, there’s a place for every one in the climate justice movement

We are starting off the campaign by bringing together core youth and adult accomplices.

As a supporter of our work and important member in our community, we'd love to have your help kicking off a summer of organizing work in which we'll be asking folks to contribute to house parties, events, survey collection, interviews, and policy development.

We'd love to have your participation in our first campaign network meeting - as a member of our inner circle!
